Theater

Up to 200 students per year appear in one of the dozen or so theatrical productions, which range from one-act plays to full-scale musicals.

Acting and directing courses, as well as the Independent Study Program, allow young people to earn academic credit while exercising creativity in the theater. Bingham Auditorium offers 565 seats for performances, while Woodward Theater, known as "The Black Box," seats 200. Both feature advanced technical facilities, memory console lighting equipment and professional sound systems.

Recent shows include Harvey, Beauty and the Beast, Titanic, Les Miz, To Kill a Mockingbird, One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest, Black Comedy, Noises Off, You Can't Take it With You, Rumors, The Dining Room, Steel Magnolias, Eleemosynary, Love Letters, Over The River And Through The Woods,The Bald Soprano, and Actor's Nightmare.

Recent student-directed and produced plays include All in the Timing, A Servant of Two Masters, The Butler Did It, Jake's Women, Oh Dad, Poor Dad..., and a female version of the Odd Couple.
